What is development education?
  • Development Education (DE) promotes understanding of the links between individuals and communities and the wider world around them.
  • DE encourages critical examination of global issues, such as climate change, human rights, social justice and awareness of the impact that individuals have on these.
  • DE deals with developing a knowledge base, skills, attitudes and values that enable learners to participate in local governance and bring about change for the betterment of their own lives.

DE follows the principles of DEA, UK.
